Location: Italy
I always really fancied living in Italy. So I took the first chance I got to spend some time there. Overall it was good, but the weather wasn’t as warm as I would have liked and the graffiti really spoilt the charm. It was certainly worthwhile going there, but it’s not on my short list of places to buy a house in!
Lake Como
First off was Lake Como. Wow, this was the view we woke up to every morning. Isn’t that amazing?

We got an appartment in Domaso on the Northern side of the lake in March. It was really nice. The only downside was the weather, it was freezing! Well I guess the snow sort of gives it away. The appartment had Wifi, but only in the kitchen which didn’t help. Food, as can be expected, was gorgeous, pizza and pasta everyday. The thing was you don’t really need to eat out in restaurants as the supermarkets had the most gorgeous fresh food as well. In the end though the cold won out and we moved further south. It would be perfect here when it is warmer, but then I would imagine all the tourists would drive you mad!
Sorrento
After Como we figured Sorrento would be a cool place to go. Actually Sicily seemd the cheapest but reading online reviews about how unsafe it could be made Sorrento a much better choice.
Again WiFi was difficult, the appartment was supposed to have it but didn’t and we couldn’t find any internet cafes nearby.
Days off were fun here, with trips to Capri and Pompeii. Again the food was fantastic.
Even in April it was really cold though!
Eventually I had to fly off to Sweden, so after a couple of days sight seeing in Rome (too much to do there to work!) it was the end of the Italy trip.
